Ask us anything

Can I really open the account myself if I am 14-17?

Yes, it’s all up to you. If you’re at least 14 years old, you can open your own Yuh 14+ account, no parental consent required. Total boss move.

What happens when I turn 18?

18 trips around the sun then boom–your Yuh 14+ teen account becomes a full Yuh account. You’ll unlock features like in-app currency exchange, retirement savings (we know, that’s waaaay off, but still important) with Pillar 3a, and much more, along with the standard account fees and terms.

Can I earn rewards by referring friends?

Absolutely! For every friend or family member you bring to the party, you’ll receive 10 CHF on your account and they’ll get 500 Swissqoins (for adults) or 10 CHF (for teens). Win-win!

Remember that the person you refer needs to fund their account by minimum 500 CHF to get the reward. Please note that it only works via bank transfer. TWINT payments are not eligible.

How do I deposit money into my account?

Very easy! Share your IBAN to get money straight into your account. And if relatives gave you some hard cash for your birthday? Just go to your local post office and use PostFinance’s simple QR generator.

Can I use Yuh TWINT before I’m 18?

Yes, you can (unless your account balance is 0, in which case you can’t – sorry).

Can I use Apple Pay?

You bet you can! Simple, fast, and perfect for your on-the-go lifestyle.

Can I use Google Wallet?

Absolutely! Google Wallet is available for the under-18 crew. Just remember that Google has some extra conditions for minors, so it’s wise to check the small print. Better safe than sorry.

How can I add cash to my Yuh account?

Via the PostFinance QR Generator, by going to your local post office. Follow the steps here. The post office may charge a small fee for this service. To fill in the form, you’ll need your account details, which you can find in your app under: Pay > Add funds. Processing usually takes 1-3 days.
